Recommended Posts

Dave87

HI people i'm runing a set of weber 45s dcoe's on my 8v 1.9 i have a catcams 274 fitted rest is standard, My question is i have brought a sevice kit for the carbs and will be looking at useing that in the near future befor i go to get the carbs tuned, but what i want to know is wheather anyone could tell me the size jets chokes etc i should or could be using as i don't know what my carbs have in them at the mo (well got a ruff idea).

The car is my daily drive and runs ok, idle when warm seems to depend on how the car is feeling most of the time its around the 850- 900 its dam nice through the rev range but hav been told that it could be a fair bit better if set up right. will be wonting to use for a few trackdays and not massivly fused on mpg.

Any advise will be g8.

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave

best bet is to do the service on them then get it down to your nearest rolling road people for them to set them up and swap the jest if need be. A good guy will either tweek it or transform it. Mine drives swett from the word go right up to the line after they were set up correctly.

Money well spent IMO.
