the cars looks superb :(

 

looks like a lot of camber on the front wheels in the first shot

 

love the dashboard- just clean and tidy

 

i would also like to know more about the doors

I wouldnt recommend the doors unless you have a cage with realy good side bracing.

I also sell the poly carb doors they fit right on ! price = €390 per peice..

Quality is suberb !

Do you know the weight of the Fibre glass doors? With/without the windows?

How are the fibreglass doors for stiffness upon opening/closing?

dont know what they weight but can certainly say they dont weigh very much.

 

stiff enough to open and shut but still have to be careful with them as there aint alot of strength in them.

a got mine from a friend but am sure they are about 200 a door pretty expensive for what they are but very effective as prob the most weight saving part i have

ye they aint cheap mate but save alot more with the doors than you ever would with the bonnet and hatch even better with them all lol

Are your doors double sided? I have had one in my hands one time i it saves alot of weight..

its currently running just over 330 bhp at just under one bar of boost.

 

Mapping still on going.

oh my f**king god. what a beast! just spent a good 20 minutes reading this and dribbling over some of those pictures.

 

you have made one hell of a car there mate. very unique. well documented thread too, top man.

 

i suppose this is the out come if you have all of the facilities available to you.

 

i now want one...like really bad! i got a college project coming up... ;):D

good work, I especially like the seam welding section and cage build. 205s must be extremely flimsy in racing car terms, so anything to increase the torsional rigidity can't be bad! nice to see cage going to suspension pickups as well otherwise it literally just is a roll over cage :)

 

turbos are for cheaters though :lol:

after a few problems with the first engine on various parts

 

now mapped on different management now using omex

 

wossner rods and pistons

 

arp head stud and nut kit

 

making 380bhp atf @ 1.2 bar

well after a few problems with the other engine

 

out came the new one with wossner pistons and rods ARP bolts

 

ARP head stud and nut kit (to try and hold the head down this time round :cry: )

 

new management omex

 

VEMS wideband and exhaust gas temperature sensors and gauge ( make sure all is good :D )

day at the rollers after finishing off the engine at 2am on sat morning set off to glasgow to AVA at 9.30 am

then finished at 7pm

 

with a nice healthy 340bhp at the wheels @ 1.2 bar approx 380 bhp at the fly

 

had it out today for a blast and feels flying 8)

 

very impressed and well worth the effort and time not to mention the cash :P

 

and a very massive thanks to allan at AVA for all his time spent on setting up the management for me and getting the awsome power from the engine 8)

 

will be going back to get boost increased when i get bored of it :P:D:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
