as above, dont bother wiring in a switch, check the power feed, the thermo switch and the low speed resistor.

dont forget that it takes a fair bit to get the fans on this time of year, and that 90 degrees is a fair way up the gauge, which mark is it pointing to?

They show fairly high temp on the guage before the cooling fan cuts in, about one line off the red often but check your fans works before starting to change anything.

There should be a brown plug hanging loose in the engine bay near the n/s headlamp, bridge the centre & either outer pin to run the fan at low or high speed.

If you choose to wire in a manual switch this topic should help out.

I was just fitting my fans back in yesterday. What is this loose plug for Graham? I have one fan fitted as std and the other one is on a fused manual switch (relayed) if required. Shouldn't need it tho!

Yeah. Fix the problem; don't try and work round it. They work just fine with a functioning fan and solid state thermoswitch in the rad.

Your problem will be something far simpler than wiring in a switch.

Check the fan(s) first - as there are no fuses IIRC, which is slightly strange - and then find a replacement thermoswitch. If still no joy it'll be a wiring/connector fault, and it's all very easy to get to.

No idea, other than a test circuit or manual over-ride so you can switch the cooling fan on when working on the engine with it running for any reason.
