Gearbox Bangs Going Into 3rd And 4th

when changing quickly into 3rd or 4th, it bangs going into the gear. i cant tell if its the gearbox or the linkages, not had chance to get under and have a look. if you change gear more smoothly, it seems to slide into 3rd easy enough, but 4th nearly always makes a noise!

 

shall i get some miles gear linkages on order to see if this cures it?

sound like a syncromesh . Gearbox in bits to fix it . On a positive note i did about 50k miles on my 1.6 which had the same issue from 2nd into 3rd without any issues.
