Clutch Help

Hi again

 

I just rebuilding an MI lump and trying to sort out a clutch.

 

I will be using a alloy 1.9 MI lump with MI 215mm lightened flywheel, and a 1.9 gti box.

 

The spec should give me somewhere around 180-200 bhp i guess torque will be similar area.

 

I have allowed in my budget for a helix clutch but did not know whether a organic will be strong enough or i should go for a full paddle?

standard Valeo 1.9 Mi16 clutch should be fine for that.

as above we built one for a mate of mine and used sach standard and has been good for a year now

200hp is fine on the Valeo clutch, I had this in my old Race car and when removed after a season it was un-worn so went on to live in another car

Ive just taken the valeo clutch off of my Gti6 engine and after loads of track days and general hard use it still looks like new, I had said that the next time the box comes off I would replace it for a paddle clutch but Im going to stick to this one now.
